⭐ Setting the default variant

The default variant is the version of a product that shows first when a shopper lands on its page in Shopify (for example, the Medium / Blue option being pre-selected).

How to set it

On a product in Peak PIM, choose which variant should be the default for a given store. When you publish, Shopify will present that variant first.

This is useful when you want to steer shoppers toward your most popular or best-stocked option.

Per-store default

You can set a different default variant per Shopify store, so each storefront highlights the right option for its audience.
