# 🔑 My store won't link or the linking code expired

Linking codes are short-lived for security, so an old code may stop working.

# Step-by-step fix

### 1. Generate a fresh linking code

In Peak PIM, go to `Settings > Stores` and generate a new linking code.

### 2. Use it right away

Copy the new code and paste it on the Shopify store you're connecting, immediately.

# Still failing?

* Make sure Peak PIM is installed on the second Shopify store
* Confirm you are signed in to the correct Peak PIM account
