# 🚀 How publishing works in Peak PIM

Publishing is how your work in Peak PIM reaches your live Shopify stores.

# What gets published

When you publish a product, Peak PIM sends the latest details to each Shopify store you've chosen, including:

* `Title`, `Description`, `Vendor`, `Tags`
* `Variants` (options, SKUs, prices, weights)
* `Images` and `videos`
* `Collections` memberships
* `Metafields`
* `SEO` fields
* `Sales channels` and `Theme template`

# Why the save / publish split exists

Nothing goes live in Shopify until you publish. This means you can prepare changes confidently and push them all at once when you're ready.
