# ⚠️ A refresh overwrote my edits

This is expected behavior. Refreshing an item (or a whole store) pulls the current data from Shopify into Peak PIM and **replaces what was there**, including unpublished edits.

# How to avoid losing work

* **Publish your Peak PIM changes before refreshing**, or
* Only refresh when Shopify has the version you want to keep

# If you refreshed by accident

Re-enter your changes in Peak PIM and publish again.

||| Save your important pending updates by publishing them before any refresh. Once they're in Shopify, a refresh just pulls them back.
